Academic Programme
The academy (AfEU e.V.) emphasizes in teaching and research environmental sciences with focus on renewable energies.
The following modules are presented at the summer course:
- Introduction to various disciplines of environmental
sciences as ecology, informatics, conservation technologies,
environmental compatibility, climate conservation, safety,
sustainable energy supply, waste and recycling technologies a.o.
- Bio-energy technology / industry as solid bio fuel, biogas / dump gas, bio fuels
- Solar technology as photovoltaics, solar thermal units, solar architecture
- Wind- and water-power and geothermal energy
- Energy efficient systems as heat pumps, fuel cells, cogeneration of heat and power,
combined heat-power plants, hybride power plants, bio-refineries, energy storage
- Study trips correspondig to the modules A) to E)
